The YMCA of Southern Interior BC has selected June 1 for their largest fundraiser of the year.
On Sunday, the organization will host its 18th annual Cycle for Strong Kids to raise money for low-income children and at-risk youth in the community.

With the event continuing to grow throughout the years, the YMCA states this year's event will be bigger as it will feature four themed outdoor cycle classes and have both adult's and children's bikes available so the whole family can partake in the event. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers as well as best spirit, enthusiasm, and creativity.
The kids and family zone is also expanded this year, featuring bouncy castles, street hockey, face painting, a photobooth, carnival games, and more. Food and drinks will also be available and Kelowna High Performance is going to have a Wellness Zone.
Local philanthropist and mental health advocate Tom Budd will be part of this year's event.
