Carmen Bouvier loves nature and art.

The 4th year UBC Okanagan student has found a way to do just that using fallen sticks and other natural elements to build sculptures.

Bouvier caught attention in the community earlier in October after completing a life-sized sculpture on the Glenmore Highlands path in Kelowna.

"It's a beautiful area up there. I love it a lot and I wanted to put something special there," Bouvier said.

The young artist uses their parents' backyard as a work space with multiple sculptures around the property, including pieces in memory of their late grandmother.

Bouvier hopes to continue with art after graduation and would like to travel to work with natural elements not common to the Okanagan.
