On until April 25, University of B.C. Okanagan students completing their undergraduate degrees in fine arts and media studies are showing off their skills at an end-of-year art exhibition.
The show 'Everything and Then Some' launched on April 17 with an opening reception at 6 p.m.
Instructor in the faculty of creative and critical studies David Doody said the programs focus on letting students explore their own creative ideas and giving hands-on experience to equip graduates for the future.
"After school is done, it's the work that you've done during your program that is the jumping-off point that you've created," Doody said.
Brenna Lam Kennedy is completing her fourth year in media studies. Her triptych photography piece called Proximity is on display at the exhibition.
"One thing I really cherish from this program is the development of my practice and being exposed to other like-minded artists," Lam Kennedy said. The soon-to-be graduate added that it was great working with a small cohort of students and going through her four years with the same 20 classmates.
The free exhibition is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until April 25 in the Creative and Critical Studies building on the Okanagan campus.
