Tech-friendly individuals with a desire to give back to community are needed for a program supporting seniors.
The Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap Society (LASS) is looking for volunteers to assist with its Shuswap Cyber Seniors program, which helps seniors to build confidence in using digital devices.
"Volunteering is simple 香蕉视频直播� just one hour a week can make a big impact," said LASS adult programs coordinator Kell Stephenson. "Tutors work one-on-one with seniors, helping them learn essential skills like browsing the internet, organizing files, sending emails, staying safe online, and more.
"No advanced tech expertise is required 香蕉视频直播� just patience and a friendly attitude."
The next round of tutoring sessions begins soon at local libraries, with flexible one-hour volunteer slots available within these times:
香蕉视频直播� Salmon Arm: Tuesdays, March 4 to April 8, 1 to 4 p.m.;
香蕉视频直播� Blind Bay: Wednesdays, Feb. 26 to April 2, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.;
香蕉视频直播� Sicamous: Tuesdays, Feb. 25 to April 1, 2:30 香蕉视频直播� 4:30 p.m.;
香蕉视频直播� Scotch Creek and Enderby: Start day and time TBA;
