PHOTOS: Whoville - where Penticton香蕉视频直播檚 heart grew three sizes

First time event at the Penticton Safety Village drew thousands over two weekends

香蕉视频直播淚t香蕉视频直播檚 been a magical experience from top to bottom,香蕉视频直播 said Natasha Di luorio, who organized Penticton Safety Village香蕉视频直播檚 transformation into Whoville for the first two weekends in December.

Di luorio, owner of Badgirl Branding partnered with the Safety Village to bring the inaugural Christmas event to the Edmonton Avenue location on Dec. 8, 9, 16 and 17.

香蕉视频直播淚t was my first time with my company, Badgirl Branding. I feel the whole experience was just wonderful. All of the sponsors were very kind and generous, the hands-on help from my team, our friends and family and community support was breathtaking,香蕉视频直播 said Di luorio. 香蕉视频直播淚 worked very closely with Rene Johnson and Katie Weitz as we planned this event. Rene chose us to be her final volunteer job and we were so fortunate to be a part of her journey.香蕉视频直播

The purpose of this event was, of course for the kids, but it was also to put the spotlight back onto Safety Village itself.

香蕉视频直播淲e are giving them a new look and feel for their branding, as well as establishing them as the pillar for this community in all of our childhoods,香蕉视频直播 she added.

At least 2,000 people came through Whoville to check out the Igloo, try out Velcro axe throwing, check out the vendors, warm up by the fire and have a visit or photo with Santa and the Grinch. Even Cindy Lou Who was there.

Many lined up for the Grinch fur (cotton candy) and popcorn. There was craft making and other activities.

香蕉视频直播淚 think all the screaming and laughter was a great testament as to how it went,香蕉视频直播 said Rene Johnson, who was one of the main organizers. 香蕉视频直播淎 big thank you to everyone who came in to see me, at this, my last volunteer gig after 54 years of which 34 were here in Penticton. This is such a wonderful city.香蕉视频直播

They wanted to give a huge thank you to all the volunteers who tirelessly worked long hours, whether it be set up and take down or in the actual event.

香蕉视频直播淎lso a thank you to Santa and the ever-so-hilarious Grinch, for not only making the children happy but all of us happy. Thank you Shayda and Alesha for being the best Whoville girls,香蕉视频直播 said Johnson.

If you didn香蕉视频直播檛 get a chance to check out this year香蕉视频直播檚 Whovillation, don香蕉视频直播檛 worry. Whoville is coming back next year 香蕉视频直播渂igger and better.香蕉视频直播
