PHOTOS: Keremeos Lights Up with holiday parade

The parade drew hundreds despite the cold outside

Hundreds of people braved the cold on Dec. 6 to see Santa and the many other participants in the annual Light Up parade in Keremeos.

This year, the parade started on Veterans before looping around past the Ambrosia complex and down Main Street.

Temperatures hovered right around freezing, with a slight wind keeping families huddled together.

The kids didn't seem to mind, with plenty of cheering not only for Santa Claus but also for many of the parade entrants like the firetrucks with their sirens and horns.

Afterwards, Santa headed over to Victory Hall to join the craft fair and take photos with the kids for the rest of the evening.

Santa came back on Saturday, Dec. 7, for more photos when the craft fair returned.

Also on Saturday, there were free activities and live music at the Similkameen Rec Centre starting at 5 p.m., and the ribbon cutting for new EV chargers at the centre's parking lot.
