Kelowna Comicon was held at MNP Place June 22-23

Superheros, anime characters, and movie icons took over MNP Place June 22-23 for Kelowna Comicon.

From novices to professionals, there was something for everyone at the annual convention.

Organizer and Founder of Kelowna Comicon Michael Kay said, "We have over 65 vendors, 75 artists, and we have celebrity guests and creators from all over North America."

Kay said the show has grown so big over the years that they had a lengthy vendor wait list as they've outgrown MNP Place.

"It kind of brought a tear to my eye," Kay added that their first year was just a small room at Parkinson Rec.

The weekend event included games, speakers, workshops, and vendors ranging from art and tattoos to jewellery and costumes.

Saturday included a cosplay contest for various skill levels.

The event drew in hundreds of people over the weekend for another successful show.
