If you're feeling a little chilly, the Penticton Art Gallery's eighth annual Loving Mugs Chili Cook-Off will warm you right up.

The fundraising event is set to return on Feb. 5, with a roster of local chefs competing for multiple titles, including the beaniest, the spiciest, the most creative and of course the People's Choice.

Attendees will get to not only enjoy the chefs' creations, but vote on them and take home both a recipe book and their own handcrafted mug.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the chili being served from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The awards will come at the end of the evening.

All proceeds from the evening's ticket sales go directly to the Penticton Art Gallery香蕉视频直播檚 education and outreach programs, including children and youth camps, after-school initiatives, and artist talks.

The gallery is still looking for a few more determined chefs to join the night, particularly any with vegetarian or vegan recipes to meet the growing demand for those offerings.

Any chefs interested in signing up are asked to contact the gallery at inquiries@pentictonartgallery.com.

The event is one of two foodie fundraisers that bookend the year for the gallery, with the annual Soup Bowls happening in the winter.

Tickets are still available. Members can purchase tickets for $40, non-members are $45.
