Although the finishing touches haven香蕉视频直播檛 been installed, the Peachland Pier is open to the public.

The 122-metre-long pier has nine fishing bays, three of which have lower railings for those in a wheelchair. The pier, was supposed to be completed in December, however it will officially be opened May 11. Still to be installed are lights and benches.

Members of the Peachland Lions Club, Rotary club of Peachland and the Peachland Sportsmen香蕉视频直播檚 club of Peachland formed a non-profit society named the Peachland Pier Group to design and construct a wheel chair accessible fishing pier on Okanagan Lake.

The project, that has been estimated to cost over $50,000, has been funded through donations and grants because the group did not want to use tax dollars says Eldon Kerbes, former president of the Peachland Lions Club.

When completed the pier created from yellow cedar and Douglas Fir that is designed to last over 100 years will be turned over to the District of Peachland.
