The ruggedly handsome Haku spent some time prowling the streets of Oliver, being fed by a nice lady until one day he seemed to have an issue with his paw.
The lady contacted Okanagan Humane Society, a non-profit animal rescue dedicated to helping pets from Salmon Arm to Osoyoos.
Haku was transferred to a Kelowna veterinarian, who has since helped the feline get back to his old self.
But, now the three-year-old cat is looking for a home to call his own, done with the outdoor lifestyle he is looking to stay inside and cuddle.
Haku gets along with dogs, cats and children. He is also food-motivated and loves a good snack.

OHS does not have a shelter, instead, it has fosters, so when the rescue has 300 animals in care those furry friends are placed into homes of volunteer fosters across the Okanagan. The charity is volunteer-run and relies on donations to help animals in need.
