Kelowna artist Mackenzie Perras is auctioning off the piece created in collaboration with community members for Culture Days to raise funds for Kelowna's unhoused.

Artist Mackenzie Perras is starting to pack up his studio at Kelowna's Rotary Centre for the Arts in preparation for a move to the coast next spring.

With lots of pieces and only so much he can move with, Perras is hosting a sale Dec. 21-22 inside his studio with up to 75 per cent off.

"I've absolutely loved living and working in the Okanagan for the past five years," Perras said. "The arts and culture community here is so vibrant, welcoming and dynamic."

Perras art and style was recently spotlighted after being chosen as an ambassador for the 2024 BC Culture Days, hosting a workshop on turning found materials into usable paints.

"Highlights have included meeting all kids of creators and learning about their ongoing projects with the Creative Exchange, exhibiting with wonderful local organizations like the Alternator and the Kelowna Community Theatre, and getting to know all my students in my paintmaking and abstraction workshops."

The studio sale runs from 12-4 p.m. each day.
