This year we have been sharing our gratitude for funders, partners, donors and community on social media with a Thankful Thursday post. It has been a great way to reflect on how as an organization we can only make impact in the community by having you, our community, support, underwrite and be a part of the programs and initiatives we undertake. So, this Thursday, let香蕉视频直播檚 do a Thankful Thursday post here in the Capital News, to acknowledge just some of our local partners and champions.

Let香蕉视频直播檚 start with Publisher Karen Hill, Advertising Sales Manager Roxanne Mackintosh and Bureau Chief of BC Jen Zielinski who help us reach out and share stories of people and community every week through the Capital News. These three amazing, dynamic, kind and community-focused women reflect the importance of local news and reporting to support business and community. Thank you to all three of you!

We were ever so grateful this past October to celebrate the 40 years of community-building that KCR has done with an incredible celebration that was only possible thanks to generous sponsors and donors, including Okanagan 19, Peter香蕉视频直播檚 Your Independent Grocer, NHP Productions, Roa Event & Event Designs and so many more individuals and businesses. At the event we were also able to celebrate major gifts from the Barry Lapointe Foundation, which donated $25,000 to the Central Okanagan Family Hub, $5,000 from the East Meets West Foundation and $5,000 from Morningside Rotary as a matching donation for funds donated to the new Family Fund program.

We are so very grateful to the Sponsor a Family donors for fulfilling the Christmas wish lists of over 100 families with personalized gifts and to the many donors who chose to commit to the new Family Fund, established to meet emergent, basic necessity needs for individuals and families throughout the year. This support means that we can meet the basic needs of the diverse participants that we support as and when they need it most urgently.

Valley First Credit Union and First West Foundation have supported the capacity building workshops that enrich the volunteer sector and have also committed to the overall well being of families with their three-year commitment of $15,000/year to the Family Hub. Our thanks to Susan Byrom and Jackey Zellweger as well as the Foundation Board for their leadership in instituting trust-based philanthropy in their granting.

While Christmas will be past by the time this article goes to print, we want to give a final shout out to Orchard Park Mall, and to the volunteers of the 22 organizations who were a part of the Gift Wrapping for Good program, as well as the shoppers who donated to have their gifts wrapped. It has been such a fun and spirit-lifting program, according to Wendy Williams, the Volunteer Centre Coordinator. 香蕉视频直播淓ach day gets busier than the day before,香蕉视频直播� says Wendy. 香蕉视频直播淭he volunteer wrappers are enjoying themselves and are looking to sign up again next year. The generosity of the shoppers is overwhelming.香蕉视频直播�

The program has also been a win for the customers who have shared comments like 香蕉视频直播淪o convenient and meaningful! The gift wrapping was top-notch, and I love that the money goes to such a worthy cause.香蕉视频直播� and "What a wonderful way to give back this holiday season! The gift wrapping was perfect, and I feel good knowing it benefits so many community organizations I believe in."
