Do you have a household item in need of repair, don香蕉视频直播檛 want to toss it out, but you香蕉视频直播檙e stuck on how to go about fixing it?
A lamp on the fritz? Bicycle in need of repair? Clothes that need mending? Toaster that just won香蕉视频直播檛 toast?
If so, the Repair Caf茅 is just the event you香蕉视频直播檙e looking for.
Hosted by the Regional Waste Reduction Office, the Repair Caf茅 takes place at the Okanagan College campus Centre for Learning Atrium on Saturday April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
香蕉视频直播淲ith the help of our talented volunteer fixers, we香蕉视频直播檙e resurrecting the too good to toss mentality香蕉视频直播攁 shift from the throw-away to a fix-it society,香蕉视频直播 said Rae Stewart, with the Regional Waste Reduction Office.
And it香蕉视频直播檚 all free.
香蕉视频直播淢ost of our fixers are like-minded hobbyists who enjoy helping others and want to keep items out of the landfill,香蕉视频直播 Stewart continued.
香蕉视频直播淭hey香蕉视频直播檙e all volunteering their time. They vary in age and background, just like those that come with broken items to be fixed.
香蕉视频直播淭his is our fourth Repair Caf茅 so far, and momentum is really building with each event.香蕉视频直播
Stewart says the idea is not to come in, drop off your item for fixing, and then come back when it香蕉视频直播檚 done, but instead to be part of the repair process. 香蕉视频直播淭he Repair Caf茅 offers the opportunity to learn new skills, plus a chance to connect with skilled people. It香蕉视频直播檚 a casual environment.香蕉视频直播
