The Central Okanagan Food Bank has rebranded their look for their 40th anniversary.

New year, new look.

To reflect on it's role and deep connection with the community, the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB) is going with a new look as part of their 40th anniversary celebration. The rebrand might've been seen around town as COFB's are already been designed with the new look.

Since its inception in 1984, COFB has grown into two branches and merged with the Westside Community Food Bank in 2015.

Now, COFB serves more than 11,000 people in the community every month. Of that, 44 per cent are youth and 20 per cent seniors. Additionally, demand has increased 59 per cent over the last two years, mostly from two-parent working households.

From starting as a small-town food bank, COFB is now a regional leader and has its own brand instead of sharing with Food Banks Canada. With it's growth, they now also support 32 other food banks and 46 partner agencies throughout the Okanagan as a National Food Sharing System Hub.

"Looking back on 40 years of service, COFB acknowledges the dedication of its volunteers and generosity of its supportive donors, whose commitment sustains its purpose and fosters a strong sense of community," a press release stated. "It truly takes a village to run such a diverse and essential organization, and COFB extends heartfelt gratitude to those who give their time funds, and commitment to help those in need."

With the holiday season approaching, COFB is looking for more volunteers and donations. Anyone interesting in volunteering or has donation can visit the COFB .
