It's almost time to light Rutland up with holiday cheer.
The annual Rutland Light-Up is set to take place at Rutland Centennial Park on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 3-4:30 p.m., while the lighting of the 70-foot tree will take place at 4:15 p.m.
This year's event features family-friendly activities, as well as photos with Santa, hot chocolate and cider, live entertainment and a local artisans market.
Impact Events is not producing this year's event, however, Uptown Rutland Business Association (URBA) and the City of Kelowna will be hosting the experience.
There are expected to be about 3,000 people in attendance at this year's event.
Mayor Tom Dyas and other Kelowna dignitaries will be lighting the tree.
