100 Women Who Care Kelowna had record-breaking 2024, donates $40K

Their first donation of 2025 went to Central Okanagan Search and Rescue

100 Women Who Care Kelowna donated $8,830 to Central Okanagan Search and Rescue to start 2025.

With a huge growth in membership and successful events, 100 Women Who Care Kelowna had a massive 2024 and is looking to continue that momentum into 2025.

Last year, the organization welcomed 175 new members and raised and donated $40,507 to local organizations, including an extra $4,000 donation at the Okanagan Humane Society at Christmas time.

Additionally, at its first meeting of 2025, it donated $8,830 to Central Okanagan Search and Rescue. The funds will help support the training of nine new women for the ground search and rescue team.

"This is the highest number of female recruits we have ever accepted, and they join so many more amazing women in SAR," said COSAR community relations director Adriane Peak.
